We have been home for a week now. We left thurs may 14th at a very early 6 am and returned may 21st at about 7 pm. I am not even sure I can put into words how awesome his trip was:) It was everything I had hoped for plus more! I would like to thank Carissa,Make a Wish Southwestern Ontario,Give Kids the World Village in Florida, West Jet, Disney World,Sea World and anyone else I might be forgetting but had a hand in making my baby boy's wish come true. We will forever remember what wonderful people you all are and what a great family week we had together.
So onto his trip. We had a limo pick us up at 6 am here at the house (the kids thought this was the coolest thing EVER!) and arrived at the airport at about 8am. We had a West Jet employee escort us through the airport (made my day that much easier. Thank you Chad). He was great. He showed the kids all the different planes and how they all do different jobs ext. He also talked to the Pilot about Dawson and asked him if Dawson and the others could see the cockpit (they do not do this anymore so we were told). So the Pilot one upped him and let Dawson help him turn on the plane and pull it out of the dock onto the start of the runway:) Dawson was so excited lol and loved every minute of it. The flight was great and it was nice to see sun when we landed (it was cold,rainy,storming when we left at 6 am) but man was it HOT!!!! First thing we did when we got to GKTW was get on our summer stuff and go for ice cream than a nice swim. We did not get to GKTW until about 3:30 so we spent the rest of the day there doing fun things. Santa came that night so the kids went to visit with Santa and got some gifts (only at GKTW is it Christmas every week!) The kids we a bit confused so we told them that he spends his vacation time at GKTW lol.
The next morning we headed off to Magic Kingdom. What a day. It was SOOOO hot but we had a blast. Dawson was in heaven. He seen everyone he wanted to see but Mickey Mouse (we did see him the the parade but not in person). It was a great day. Dawson loved the buzz light year video game ride thingy lol. Owen,Emma and Mikalah rod every ride they could get on big and small and Mommy got the worst sunburn I have ever had in my life lol. The shows and parades we so neat and everybody was very friendly! We came back to the village at about 6:30 that night just in time for the Pirate and Princess party. Poor Dawson was so tired. He tried to have fun but he just lied around until it was time to "crown" the princess' and pirates than he was all up in there lol. He got to meet the "real" pirates and got a pirate sword. All the girls got to be princess' and got crowns. It was a late night by the time we got some dinner and baths it was about 11:30 before they went to bed.
Day 2 was Sea World. We had a blast. We fed the Dolphins first (because they are just so cute lol) and that's all Dawson had been talking about for weeks. Oh my they are much cuter in real life lol. Sea world was not as hot (much more shade and lots of indoor air conditioned spots) so we had a nice day. We seen the dolphin show and Shamu show. Both were GREAT. Mikalah and Daddy went on a really big roller coaster that I was NOT getting on lol. Mikalah loved it. We also did some water rides (those were cool but you did not get as wet as it looked) but still a nice cool off. We did not want to leave Sea World we all loved it there.
