So we rushed to Toronto only to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours. Once we finally got in the back we gave the run down of what has been going on to the resident Dr and she did a work up on him. She spent about 20 mins checking his knees for fluid build up (that would indicate JRA) but did not find anymore fluid than what should already be there. I did bring video for them to watch and told them every last detail of the last few weeks. She left to get the dr and when he came in I gave him the video to watch plus went over everything I had told her. He had NO answers for us other than he wants him to see a Neuromedabolics dr because he feels that he has a rare metabolic muscle disorder. He is quite worried about his elevated ck levels and liver enzyme levels and said that when he does not have a night of pain his levels are "normal" but after a night of pain they are elevated and this is NOT NORMAL at all. So as for right now we are still where we were yesterday with no answers (and no relief for him) but hopefully we will see this dr soon. He said she is their "Dr.House" and she WILL get to the bottom of it. He also said we need to get into genetics asap (we have an appt in July) and also Nephrology (again appt is in july). He did more blood and xrays of his hands (he has abnormal bony structure in his hands) I guess this can indicate a few genetic disorders so its a start. If his ck/liver levels are elevated still he will call us. He wants them back down to a "normal" level (the quicker the better). So please pray that we get some answers soon. My poor guy needs some rest from this.
