It's been awhile since I updated

Wow it has been a long time! Dawson is doing well, still battling the pain and fevers but other than that there is not much to report medically, he is doing well so for now we have decided to step back and let him be a kid. We still keep in close contact with his ped and will have a full check up at the end of the summer before school starts but I would like him to have a nice care free summer, free of Dr's and hospitals as long as he is stable!

Emma has her MRI/MRS scan tomorrow, I am a bit nervous and so is she. I am sure she will do well and I plan on picking her up a special surprise for when she wakes up in recovery, and maybe a trip to the gift shop on our way out too! Anything to make her feel better ;) We have been battling some worrisome temp issues with her, it started in the winter with not being able to keep her temp above 93.0-94.0. We talked to her Neuro about this and he seemed a bit stumped and double checked her thyroid (tested 3x) and all 3x it was fine so he shrugged it off. I was ok with this because she seemed FINE, the temp was not bugging her and she was not complaining of being cold or shivering so we left it at that. Come the hot spell in May we realized that this may actually be something serious! We were at a local park and within mins of being out of the AC in the car her temp skyrocketed to about 105.0 and she turned a deep purple in the face and broke out in hives. We have had issues with her getting hives in the heat for a few years but NOTHING as bad as this. It has been ongoing all summer, she can not be outside (unless in the pool) for more than about 5 mins before she is turning purple. I am hoping we will get some much needed answers from the MRI as to what is going on. I am more than a bit worried with these strange symptoms and no answers. I will update as soon as we know more.

As for the other kiddo's, they are doing great and enjoying their summer. They all got great grades and Mikalah graduated grade 8 :O I am not sure I am ready for my baby to go off to high school :S She was beautiful at her grad <3 Stunning is more like it! My baby is growing up!

Emma received an award "Most improved Girl 2012", she was shocked and cried because she had never won an award before. We all cried, her teachers, other parents ext. It was a proud mommy moment for sure! and she deserved it! She worked soooo hard this year, she eve read a book (1 to 2 words per page). I was FLOORED and made her re-read it so I could get it on tape ;)

Keegan has had his cross bow in his mouth now for about 4 months, my mom had made a comment a few weeks ago about how great his mouth looked. I had not noticed much of a difference myself at that point and did not notice until July 1 when I uploaded a bunch of pics I took at the fireworks. WOW is all I have to say about that! his mouth looks fantastic, I started a pic journal on fb so I can keep track. I am so happy for him and have noticed a big difference in his self esteem already!

Owen is getting so big! He will be 8 next weekend (I really think these kids need to quit growing!). He did fantastic in school this year (like always) and is to smart for his own good! I will have to figure out how to post pics again and upload some from his birthday!

Jenna is still a little mommy only with a bit of attitude in there lol. She was placed in SPEC ED in September, I was worried it was not a good placement for her but she did well. She is not so on edge and stressed like she was in mainstream. I think this year I will ask them to send home more homework so I can see what she is learning but other than that she did great and loves all her teachers.

Well I think that is going to have to be it for today, hopefully I find more time to write so I am not all over the place trying to remember months worth of stuff at one time.
